You know, it gets to a point where you've all deluded yourself into thinking that you're playing this game for the product. It's been, what, 5, 6 years? I don't know how long this game has been around. I don't play it much anymore.

But a simplified game like this doesn't have a long shelf life. You're not playing it because you hope it'll one day explode into a massive online game anymore. Those expectations waned a long time ago.

You're playing it for each other. Because somewhere along the line you've developed a relationship with the fellow players of this game and you've made it your duty to not let these online companions behind. There's no endgame here. There's no finality nor glory to being the best. You just wanna kick a ball around a virtual 2D pitch.

And you've done that. And you've tempered your expectations because this has become the norm for you. A major change would be nice, but it's never gonna happen. Thank the developers for giving you the medium to express your self in a singular way that you won't get to experience again.

This is a silly game, but I felt more cultured playing it. I got to talk to Brits, Dutch, Fins, Croats, and whatever else you may identify as. Fact is, you'll all move on and you'll probably forget the hours you wasted trying to win rank points, and that's okay, or you might remember and smile because it was well worth it.

So, even if this game never becomes anything. And even when its servers one day shut down, you'll still be there. Because you played it.

I need more booze. I feel like Ernest Hemingway up in this bitch.

what the fuck ernest hemingway committed suicide i dont wanna write anymore

maybe

+10 for a goal and +5 for an assist

if u get +50 or more u can buy weapons depending on how good they are like

luger for +80 but ak47 for +200

then u can shoot at players in reg

if u die u must find ur grave and then score 10 curl goals

there can be ranking list best killers

Sums everything up eloquently well. Good post.

When you look back at the hours spent playing this it's quite scary but I guess that's like a lot of things. Growing up you wanna get to 16 and 18 but it seems to take forever and once you get older your wishing for the opposite and time flies. Personally I don't care that I'v wasted so many hours playing this and other games as it's given me enjoyment especially as there's not a fat lot to do growing up.

It's a shame the games pretty much dead but it doesn't help that Mikko's communication with the players is poor, I'v recently started playing netsoccer, not because the gameplay is better but because the owner talks to players every day, implements things people want and does it quickly. We've been waiting for a new website for what, the past 18 months? and nothings happened, wish Mikko had some interest in this as it's by far the best browser based football game out there.

Change the way headers work... when you go up to head the ball and there is someone near you they can push you a mile and regain possesion. In real life this would be a foul ..

This game is to be played in the winter, it will get more people in soon. Nobody wants to sit at a computer chair sweating it out during the summer which is why on a cold winter night this game is perfect when you can't have a kickabout with your buddies. It'll all go back to normal soon.

Mates, why are those messages that say how great update this is (after all these years) been deleted?

Everyone has been waiting for an update. Getting new user interface is a fabulous thing. What else can we expect to happen...

It's looking cool but got a few points which are not that good.
I've got the feeling this update isn't really Apple-friendly.

This is a list i've noticed so far:
- I can't switch back from <team> talk to <public> nor </team>
- The statistics thing doesn't work for Apple/Mac
- Compared to Windows it always has been less with Apple (in my opinion)

Hope you will and can do something about it, thanks.

There's no reason to cater updates for operating system minorities on a game of this scale.
